Carter Ho: Believing is seeing

To start a business is to find a new path when there are no alternatives. Success or not is unpredictable so a majority give up halfway through. They give up because of not believing. Believing and seeing is a controversy. Those who believe and insist wins while the others have given up. No one will give up if they could foresee the results. The success of Double Diamond Carter is based on his belief ‘believing is seeing, seeing is firmly believing’.
Light in the darkness
In 2014, Carter had a chance to know MJ as referred by his classmate after the failure of his coffee and bicycle business. Since he listened to Triple Diamond Cristine Chen’s lesson about health, he was deeply convinced that MJ is a platform that could change his current life condition. At that time, MJ did not have any resources, courses, partners and office in Zhongshan. To develop this new market and learn more, Carter spent 2 years going around Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Taiwan and Malaysia just to attend courses. Difficulties and hardships cannot stop him from learning because he believed he was on the right track.
In 2016, he was facing the crisis of team disintegration. Knowing that Malaysia Johor Bahru has built up a large team, Carter let go his past successful experience and traditional concept and visited Johor Bahru to understand system. He is more firmed about his working path in MJ after noticing the success of Johor Bahru.
Back to China, Carter partnered with Double Diamond Dong Xuefei, who has similar belief as him, to reform their team in Shenzhen under the support of Chief Operating Officer Mike. Originally, he thought he could proceed smoothly simply by learning system. However, he realised that he was only learning a face of the system but not the essence of it. He signed, ‘It was quite difficult when starting, we could only move forward step by step.’. He appreciated the selfless help from the leaders, JS, Jack and Tinnie in Johor Bahru. They all taught him patiently while Tinnie even went to Zhongshan in person. Lai Zhihui also went to Shenzhen to give them help. He is full of thankfulness while remembering the cause to the positive changes.
The best is yet to come
Believing is insisting. In the end of 2016, the team had 2 Diamonds promoted which was considered a minor success. While enjoying the happiness, it came the frozen period. Facing several difficulties, including questioned by family and friends, and financial pressure, Carter and his Shenzhen team still choose to believe. Having continuous support from Chief Operating Officer and monthly coaching from up line Triple Diamond Cristine Chen, the core partners are formed with their belief. Half year later, the Shenzhen team has welcomed new hope.
Moving on hand in hand
A team is a group of people having similar aims and believing in each other. Carter is proud that his team is always united no matter what problems have been encountered. Since the team was formed, there are laughter, conflicts, ups and downs. Yet, their aim and trust between the team remain unchanged.
Carrying tones of responsibility
Since starting his business in MJ, he keeps in mind the wordings of Triple Diamond Cristine Chen, ‘It is the responsibility of up lines to let down lines earn’. Upholding this belief, he cooperated with Double Diamond Dong Xuefei, advised and prepared for their down lines every day before and after meetings. Day by day, he knows that the team would be his lifetime responsibility although it is tiring. By believing, he is firmed and motivated to walk along this path.
Carter insists the inherited of team culture from Triple Diamond Cristine Chen, always maintain and pass on the idea of appreciation. Therefore, the Shenzhen team is always optimistic. The culture of ‘Happy’ increases the team’s coherence and reinforces the core value.
Believing is seeing. Carter fully believes in the decision he made so as to achieve a favorable outcome.
